Our Pu‘u Muay Thai Ventura student, Joanna, made her return to the ring after some health issues that kept her from fighting since her debut at the Athlon K1 Kickboxing Tournament in LA!
The fight was on short notice, as Joanna hadn’t been training much but it was a great opportunity. It’s part of the “Tournament To Bangkok 2” Series, where Joanna is competing in the 108 lb women’s bracket for an all expense paid trip to Bangkok, Thailand. The fight took place in Montebello, California at Quiet Cannon Event Center.
Joanna’s opponent was switched last moment and she would be again fighting someone who had more experience than her. A great opponent for Joanna to come back & share the ring with.
The fight went all 3 rounds with Joanna Winning via split decision!
We are very happy to see Joanna back and feeling healthy again here at Pu’u Muay Thai Ventura!
